This 8-day Tanzania safari takes you deep into the wilderness by experiencing the most incredible parks on the northern circuit of Tanzania. You will visit parks like Lake Manyara famous for its birds and Tarangire National Park famous for its giant baobab trees as well as large African elephants. You'll also visit Ngorongoro Crater which is a World Heritage Site, as well as “the endless plains” of the Serengeti. You will stay at midrange lodges or tented camps.
Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport-JRO or Arusha Airport-ARK), you will be met by your personal driver-guide or representative who'll drive you to your accommodation. You'll spend the night in Arusha waiting for your adventure to start on the following day.

Day 1. Arusha to Tarangire national park
After breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park. It is Tanzania's third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs and up to six thousand elephants. You'll enjoy game drives with a picnic lunch. After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the park, we will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2. Ngorongoro to Serengeti national park
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest unbroken calderas on the planet with over 25,000 wild creatures in the caldera. It has more prides per capita than anywhere on earth. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five, lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. It is one of the world’s most astonishing and the 8th Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The black rhino can easily be sighted in the crater. Think of another place in the world where you can see such a unique setting with diverse scenery, prolific wildlife and birdlife, it's an ecosystem like no other. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive straight to Serengeti to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3 – 6: Serengeti National Park
Today’s drive takes you to the famous Serengeti National Park, home of the great wildebeest migration. This exciting drive up the highlands provides a spectacular birds eye view of the Ngorongoro Crater. As you crest the hillside, as far as the eyes can see, the vast expanse of the 6,900sq miles (18,000 sq km) Serengeti is spread out before you. Serengeti, defined as “endless plains” Maasai, is inhabited by more than two million large mammals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebra, and Thomson's gazelle. Large predators including lions, cheetahs and hyenas are drawn to the area by the abundance of prey that migrates throughout the park. Smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared fox, mongoose, honey badger, jackal, monkey, baboon and African hare, with nearly 500 species of bird, also inhabit the area.

Day 7. Serengeti national park to Mto wa Mbu
After breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Mto wa Mbu town, here you will spend the night awaiting for game drive tomorrow morning.

Day 8. Lake manyara national park to Arusha
After breakfast at your accommodation, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game-viewing drive with a picnic lunch. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of African animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants and Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions. You'll also see large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. You will have lunch at a picnic site and afterwards, further game viewing. Later, you'll drive back to Arusha or to the airport and depart to your next destination.
